Hoarding is a very real problem for many people and families. Hoarding awareness has increased over the past few years due to some popular cable TV programs. But this a disorder that is devastating, overwhelming and also hurtful, painful for all people involved and their extended family members. Not something for anyone would want publicized.

Many times hoarders have great difficulties parting with possessions or having strangers in their homes. The clean out process is very stressful for all involved. We try to be sensitive and caring through the project. Most of the time it is someone close to the hoarder that steps forward to facilitate the clean out process. Sometimes the process is initiated by a landlord, building management, townships or animal control.

No matter how we get involved in a hoarder situation we treat everyone with dignity and without judgment.  At Hammer Restoration we understand the difficulty and sensitivity of any Hoarding cleanup project. One of our project managers, Sean Seabase is an active community volunteer with Saginaw Community Health serves as part of the Saginaw Hoarding Task Force: http://www.hoardingtaskforcesaginaw.org/index.html

The Hammer Restoration team is fully trained and experienced with cleaning out hoarder situations. Our biohazard and Crime Scene trained experts do the initial assessments and set the scope of the project keeping everyone involved safe from any potential hazards. After the clean out and cleanup is completed the Hammer Restoration team is fully prepared to remove and replace any portion of the structure that is negatively affected. Hammer can do all the building, remodeling to make it a beautiful living space again.
